Brian Cain is a Witch and High Priest of the Alexandrian Tradition. He has been a devotee of Traditional Witchcraft since his early teens and was first initiated in 1994. Today he is the High Priest of the New Orleans Coven, the only practicing Alexandrian coven in Louisiana. He maintains strong ties to the magical roots of Witchcraft in the United Kingdom and follows the teachings of Alex and Maxine Sanders. His focus is on strong training in both priesthood and the Arts Magical. With his husband, Christian Day, he co-hosts HexFest, a Weekend of Witchery held each August in New Orleans, as well as Festival of the Dead, a monthlong event series in Salem, Massachusetts that includes the Salem Psychic Fair and Witches’ Market and the Official Salem Witches’ Halloween Ball. Together they own Witchcraft shops Hex and Omen in Salem and Hex in New Orleans. They are also the founders and publishers of Warlock Press.
Christian Day is a modern day Warlock living in the Crescent City of New Orleans, Louisiana and, with his husband warlock Brian Cain, owns Warlocks, Inc., a business umbrella dedicated to their various business pursuits. Christian and Brian host HexFest, an annual weekend of Witchery in New Orleans and Festival of the Dead, a monthlong celebration of the spirits held each October in Salem, Massachusetts that includes such popular events as the Official Salem Witches’ Halloween Ball, an Annual Psychic Fair and Witchcraft Expo, and an authentic séance. Both an initiate and practitioner of the ancient arts of Witchcraft, Christian sees his practices as both a spiritual priesthood devoted to the magic of the old Gods and the practice of old world folk Witchery, healing, and communion with the dead. Christian and Brian own two occult shops in Salem, Massachusetts: HEX: Old World Witchery, dedicated to the practices of Witchcraft, Hoodoo, and Conjure, and OMEN, a psychic parlor and Witchcraft emporium which features a staff of gifted psychic readers. In 2012, he also opened a Hex shop in New Orleans, where he now lives and opened an Omen there in 2019. Lilith Dorsey, MA, resides in New Orleans, a city known worldwide for Voodoo and Hoodoo. They have a rich background in Afro-Caribbean and Native American spirituality. Lilith edited and published the Oshun-African Magickal Quarterly, filmed and produced the documentary Bodies of Water: Voodoo Identity and Tranceformation, and co-hosted the YouTube show Witchcraft & Voodoo. They were also both choreographer and performer for jazz legend Dr. John‘s Night Tripper Voodoo Show. Their traditional education focused on plant science, anthropology, and film at the University of Rhode Island, New York University, and the University of London, and their magickal training includes numerous initiations into Santería—also known as Lucumí, Haitian Vodoun, and New Orleans Voodoo. They have been a professional psychic and teacher for over three decades and are a frequent presenter at festivals and gatherings, including HexFest, WitchCon, Sirius Rising, Witch’sFest USA, New York City Pagan Pride Day, and the Earth Warriors Festival. Levi Rowland is a professional astrologer working and living in New Orleans. With over 15 years of experience, he offers astrological consultations, workshops, and classes through online platforms and in-person at events such as WitchCon and Hexfest. Levi is a High Priest of the Alexandrian Tradition and teaches and works with traditional astrology, hermetic Qabalah, cartomancy, and ceremonial magic. Levi’s work in traditional Astrology is informed by his years of occult training and his work as a teacher, both in magical systems and in the mundane world where he teaches languages, interprets, and translates. His translation work has allowed him to open up classical texts to new audiences and help preserve traditional magical techniques for contemporary practitioners.
